The ordinary alarm is registered with the system and rings even if the app is force-quit, in silent mode, or in a Focus. If it did not ring, check that alarm permission is granted in Settings → Ambient Alarm, and that the alarm was armed (the slider on the main screen).
Smart wake needs the app to keep running through the night. It stops if you swipe the app away in the app switcher, or if the system unloads it — most likely when the battery is low. Leave the phone on the charger and do not close the app. The ordinary alarm rings regardless.
Rising tones genuinely start at silence. In the picker the preview plays at triple speed so the whole swell fits into about thirteen seconds; the real alarm takes the full forty.
By design, the report exists once. Closing it deletes the night's data and every snoring clip. Nothing is archived, and nothing is uploaded.
iOS 26.1 or later, iPhone. The app uses AlarmKit, which is what allows an alarm to break through silent mode and Focus.
